Our Trip to Elgin

Yesterday we drove to Elgin to visit my Grandparents . It was a beautiful day and the drive was wonderful. I always love driving to LaGrande and Elgin. It takes me back to my childhood when I would spend summers with my family there. Have you ever drank the water in Elgin? It is more pure and crisp than any expensive bottled water you can buy, and it comes out of the faucet ice cold. We used to take empty milk jugs and fill them up to take back home with us. Not kidding! Anyway, while we visited we ate fresh raspberries and drank coffee and talked about the "little things", you know, the important things that make life so wonderful. Grandpa showed us Grandma's GIANT onion from the garden. Seriously, that thing needs it's own zipcode! Must be that mountain soil. They sent us on our way with a bbq and a pint of homemade jam. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! You're the best!

We stopped at the viewpoint and took some pics.

I love these pics of Christian with his Great Grandparents.

Thank you for the pictures, Crystal. I'm so sorry we couldn't be in Elgin on Saturday, darn flu bug. Hopefully we'll catch you another time. Aunt Cherrie : )
