My Pumpkin at the Patch

We bundled up on Friday morning and set out to find our {perfect pumpkins} at the local patch.  I look forward to this tradition every year and I hope that, eventually, my children will too.

Christian especially enjoyed the pumpkin patch this year.  Not five minutes into his search, he sat/fell on a rotten pumpkin and got "smelly pumpkin butt."  It didn't phase him at all.  :)
He searched the patch and stumbled and fell through the vines and picked out his perfect pumpkin for the season.  His pick was "Christian-sized" and his method of choosing included sitting on numerous pumpkins to see which one fit best.  Makes sense.

There are many reasons why Fall is my favorite season:
1. Pumpkins

2.  All things edible and drinkable that include pumpkin

3.  Crisp air

4.  Sweaters, boots, and blankets

5.  Bath and Bodyworks scented hand soaps

6.  Leaves, leaves, and more leaves

7.  Orange, brown, yellow, green, gold, red

8.  Mums

9.  Planning Christian's birthday celebration

10.  Halloween and Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Fall!

little things

A couple weeks ago, Esmeralda came over and took some pics of Sophie.  She was 3 weeks old at the time of these photos.  Of course my Mr. Cutie pie (sporting his Toy Story tshirt and chocolate face) got in on the action too.

Here are a few of my favorites:

I am doing my best to just {take it all in} and cherish these precious little moments with my children.

Today I am {taking in}................

*ten tiny toes poking out of leggings

*Christian's bed head and the popping sound he makes when he is ready to get out of bed

*the foggy, crisp, fall morning

* dimples, blue eyes, and long eyelashes

*the smell of Sophie's head

*reading Halloween books and snuggling in blankets

LOVING all the Little Things.....indeed.

Waiting for Baby Sister

Christian making his "funny face"  Cracks me up everytime!

Everything is ready.

Carseat is in the car.

Diaper bag is packed.

Nursery is finished.

Mobile is hung.

Clothes are washed and put away.

Diapers are stocked.

House is clean.

Fridge is full.

We have been loving this baby for 39 weeks.

Tomorrow the waiting will be over and we will welcome our little Sophie into the world.

I can not wait to hold her in my arms right after she is born and be able to see her sweet face.

Today we will take in the fact that this is the final night we will be the  "Lee Family Three."
It is surreal but a beautiful reality and such a blessing.

Sophie will make our family complete and we are all anxiously awaiting her arrival.

Tomorrow our world will be forever changed....for the better!
